destination somewhere

2/3/2018

The Bible answers the basic questions of life. Where did I come from? Where am I going? Why am I here? What happens when I die?

Numbers 10:29 reads in part "...We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, 'I will give it you': Come thou with us, and we will do thee good..."

This passage speaks of a Destination: "We are journeying to the place of which the LORD said 'I will give it you..."
We also read of an Invitation: "Come thou with us..." and an Edification: 'We will do thee good..."
Believer, you have a destination, a place of which the LORD said that He would give to you (John 14:1-6). Heaven is not a reward for 'being good', it is the destination of the Redeemed, the home of the saved!

While we are on our way to that place prepared, we ought extend an invitation to others to join us in the journey. "Come thou with us" ought be on our lips as we live out the Gospel with our lives.

"We will do thee good" are words of edification to those who would accompany us; promising sweet fellowship and encouragement along the way.

Come Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy, written by Joseph Hart might be a blessing to you as you journey today!
