Wall Family - Missionary

Picture
Location: Dominican Republic

To identify, develop, and send missionaries both in the DR, and with the US church.

These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields." - Luke 10:2

Biography

We are overjoyed to announce that we have been board appointed from Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) to join a program called Envision in the Dominican Republic as international workers. With open hands, we wanted God to guide us in what ministry he had for our family and where he would send us. After much prayer, God directed us to work with C&MA for the past 6 years on where he would send us and what our ministry would look like as a family.

What are you planning on doing?
Stephen and I will be full-time employees with Envision, a missional branch of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Lincoln and Shiloh will be attending a bilingual school full-time. Here is a list of the many things we will interchangeably be doing through the course of 5-years:
  • University Student Outreach (at the largest university in Dominican Republic)
  • Conversational English Groups
  • Coffee Ministry through the Greenhouse
  • Church Partnerships
  • Kids & Teen Ministry
  • Ministry Event Planning
  • TESOL Opportunities

What are we doing now?
We are scheduled to move by mid-summer this year. We will spend the next few months preparing for our ministry before we move overseas. This, in part, includes:
  1. Starting language study for about 10 - 20 hours a week. We will continue full-time language and culture study for a year in Costa Rica before transitioning to our country of service, the Dominican Republic.
  2. Stephen will continue to work full-time here in Colorado Springs until one month before we depart for Costa Rica.
  3. Lead our youth ministry in Colorado Springs until our departure.
  4. Packing up our home and getting our children ready to make a life move.

How can you help?
We will always take your prayer and encouraging words. Without prayer we would not be where we are today as a family, and our lives in ministry. Secondly, we are in the midst of raising support for the next 5-years. It is a big financial feat but we believe it is possible, and if you would want to partner with us, click on the “Support the Walls” above. Or please reach out, we would love to talk to you.

With love,
Stephen, Kezia, Lincoln, and Shiloh
